The sounds of percussion (mainly steel drum), harp, and double bass contain a multitude of strange possibilities, as their sharp distinctions seem to draw one another to combine into a `timbral soup' that bursts out to discover a sound-structure that is being established through interactions that invent each moment along the passage through time, marking it with a unique sound-event, perpetually seeking a way to progress, extend in different directions, towards elusive, actually non-existent, boundaries . . .  Motion: an instability unfolding. Form: a phrase exists on its own terms and on its own scale -- being both a self-contained entity, and also contributing to a larger whole; the high intensity of action is the signature of the sound-territories that are revealed on the map of perception.
