TULP, the body public

Medicine meets art in this performance event inspired by Rembrandt's The Anatomy Lesson of Dr Nicolaes Tulp. Abstracted animation, visceral imagery, music of the early Baroque and electronics combine with stories sampled from an interviewed general public.

Described as `one of the most astonishing creations in recent Australian music performance', Bar-do'i-thos-grol (the Tibetan Book of the Dead) by artist Domenico De CLARIO and composer Liza LIM has been performed in Lismore and Perth  . . .
