Joan WRIGHT

Joan WRIGHT is Associate Principal Double Bass of the Western Australian Symphony Orchestra and has been performing with ELISION Ensemble since 1992. In that time, she has appeared as soloist in many Australian and world premieres of contemporary bass literature. She has been a teacher and recitalist at a number of national and international events, including National Music Camp, the Australian Festival of Chamber Music, and bass workshops in Orange, Adelaide and Washington DC. As well as solo and chamber performances in Perth, Joan teaches both privately and for the The University of Western Australia.
