Alessandro MELCHIORRE
Alessandro Melchiorre's music has been performed at the Holland
Festival, the Festival Antidogma in Turin, the Aspekte Festival Salzburg,
and by ELISION Ensemble at the Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival. His music has also been performed
by musicians and ensembles such as Roger HEATON, LOGOS Ensemble, Ensemble InterContemporain,
and the Arditti Quartet.
Born in 1951, he took his diploma in composition in 1986 under the supervision
of Brian FERNEYHOUGH at the Hockschule für Musik in Freiburg.
At Darmstadt he was awarded the Kranichstein prize. He currently teaches
Music History at the Novara Conservatory and is coordinator of the
Contemporary Music section of Milan's Civica Scuola di Musica.
