Robin KIRKHAM escapee administrator
Robin Kirkham was born in Melbourne and allegedly
grew up in Launceston, Tasmania.
He graduated in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering from The University of Tasmania in
1986, and has since worked for the CSIRO in Melbourne in areas as
diverse as industrial robots, sewer inspection vehicles, machine vision
and real-time software.
As an amateur musician he has been involved in public concert-giving since
high school, first in youth orchestras and later as a chorister and organiser
in University Choral Societies in Hobart and Melbourne. More recently
he has sung with Melbourne Chorale, and has had the pleasure of working under
conductors including
Charles DUTOIT,
Neeme JAARVI,
Hirouki IWAKI,
Vernon HANDLEY,
Simon HALSEY,
Markus STENZ,
and
Graham ABBOTT.
In a very weak moment in 1989 he agreed to become the part-time financial
administrator of ELISION Ensemble, a position from which he has only
recently escaped. He now spends his time avoiding updating the
ELISION website, by writing a computer program to
update the ELISION website.
